I always though flareups are common prior to period? have been feeling awful for the last 2/3 weeks but this week during period, pain burning and frequency are so awful can't even sit for 10mins.
could it be as not had a period for 3 months...
my ic has been worse over the last year or so but have always been able to control flareups lately with my 'toolkit' so only ever have really bad frequency whilst meds are acting....
cannot take tramadol anymore (interactions with elavil and also abnormal heart rhythms) , maybe that is why things are worse as pain is not helped by just codeine...have taken one 10mg of elavil in the day to help calm things down as elavil at evening gives me a few hours relief...
it is meant to increase painkilling action of opoids too?
any ideas what i can do??
was having constipation and thought most of my flare was due to that, but sorted that out now but burning and frequency is through the roof with no respite...
using bicarb, codeine, heat pad, ditropan....
ironically, 3/4 weeks ago had a period of 4 days total relief - double capacity and no frequency- thought was on way up........
does anyone else feel worse during period?
