How many of you have worse symptoms at that time of the month? Seems like I always forget from month to month how bad it can get, and then, BAM!....hits me like a brick wall. My periods have always been very painful/heavy. My bladder ALWAYS flares horribly, feels like my bladder is on fire!!!! So far this morning, I've been in the bathroom oh, a million times.

Sometimes I wonder if tampons, as opposed to pads, make it worse? Definatley a question to pose to my Uro. next visit.

I wish i could just curl up in bed with a heating pad and a novel.....sigh. I'm a stay-at-home mom to a 2yr old, so forget that as an option, lol. But I will inform the laundry, vacuuming, and dishes, that they will most likely be neglected today.

my aunt flo just left yesterday.
and i too have come to the conculsion...that tampons...increase my frequency.

I too was much more symptomatic around ovulation, PMS and the first day of my period, ugh, it was horrible. I also found that for me, using tampons seemed to aggrivate it, so as much as I hated to, I started using only pads. As my symptoms in general started getting under control, I was able to use them again, but for the first year or so I stuck with pads. Was just way too uncomfortable for me with tampons, yikes. lol

I never heard the expression "Aunt Flo" before. It's funny.

Tampons definitely make things worse for me.

My IC is always muchw orse around my period... its also worse with tampons. I haven't used a tampon since I first got IC (even before I was diagnosed I found out tampons were BAD for me)

2 weeks before that rotten Aunt of mine comes to visit she sends her baggage, and it just kills me until the 2nd day, unless I use corks.. if I use a cork I can kiss any kind of pain relief out the window, so I still to pads, no pain is worth the comfort of not wearing a diaper... I feel your pain.. Hope it gets better .
