Not a good hairday but today is brighter

    Thanks everyone.
Both of my boys & hubby knew I was having a difficult day. My oldest went to the store, so I wouldn't have to after work. My youngest along with hubby started dinner, it made my evening rewarding.
One of my hubby's friend's stopped in to see how Mom was doing & gave her some Morel mushrooms he"d picked. She even got a May Basket from a dear friend.
Again thanks for the hugs & prayers. God Bless you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. It must be a huge comfort for her to have a daughter like you. When your children get married, you never know if you are going to get a daughter or a daughter in law, but she definately got a daughter.

Like the others, I was very touched by the closeness of your family. I think that is wonderful!

Again, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

    Hugs,
    Amy

You must be a very special person. I am so sick of hearing my girl-friends complain about not only their Mother-in-laws but also their Mothers! Your post gives me hope that supporting, loyal, loving Families are still out there. Take care of your self first as your loved ones need you. You are in my Prayers. Ziggy

I am sorry for you loss. It sounds like you have a wonderful family unit! You must be so good with your mother-in-law. Your words of comfort were touching. Please keep taking care of yourself as you take care of all the others, which it sounds like you are doing.

started a topic Not a good hairday.

    Not a good hairday.

Thought I was doing okay with all that has happened. My husband's Dad died 4/18/07 unexpectedly. He & his Dad were best friends & always talked to each other everyday.
We live right behind them, & they're Mom & Dad to me. I know what my what my husband is going through, both my parents are gone. I'm trying to keep all together for everyone. I have been walking & keeping hydrated but the stress is taking a toll on me. We are going to miss him, he always brought over the morning paper. We are a close knit family, my boys have always helped Gramps & Gramma first. Which I wouldn't have it any other way. I have taken over supper for Mom to have. She has been eating cereal & soup only, I know she has always cooked & right now it's hard to cook.
She told me coming home the day Dad died, to wake her up from the dream. I cried with her & said Mom it isn't a dream. She said that he was the love of her life & what was she going to do without him. They were married for 51 yrs. & 4 days. I said we would take it 1 minute, 1 hour, & 1 day at a time, he is still with us in our hearts. Love knows no ending, no goodbyes, it's always with us.
Mom had a Celebration of Life for Dad. He was an Elk Member & wanted everyone to go the lodge, to enjoy a drink from him. All the grandsons together made a toast to him.
I will get through this, have another appointment to see the Dr. to make sure I don"t have an infection. Been having elevated pain levels. Sometimes it's like Erma Bombeck said. If life is like a bowl of cherries, then what am I doing here in the pits?
I know our loved ones come to us in dreams to help us through. God is with me daily & I ask him to guide us, bless us, take good care of Dad.
