It may be just a "passing flare" to remind you that you have IC, but if it happens again you may want to dig a little deeper and try to figure out the cause.

    Hugs,
    Donna

    Thank you, Trishann.

Since i posted my message i've been reading about some of the terrible things others have been going through lately, and i know they all seem to be suffering a lot worse than i am, so i know i can cope with this little thing.

Part of my problem is i'm a perfectionist and i want EVERYTHING in my life to be perfect, including health. It's a pity i'm not a realist too :-D

Feeling a lot better and more optimistic.

Lyndal, sometimes we can eat, do and things like that to irritate the bladder
BUT sometimes it is not us, it just happens. You are so right, think about ways to get better. Hope you get better soon.

    Take care, Trishann

    Any point in questions?

Well, after several wonderful weeks of minimal symptoms and feeling 99% well, i'm having a bad day. I could blame it on my husband because just yesterday he commented on how symptom-free i have been lately... a case of tempting fate?

So today i'm wracking my brain trying to think of how, what, why, when....? Did i forget to take a pill yesterday? Haven't i been drinking enough water? Was it the new laundry detergent i've been using for the past two days? Have i eaten something i usually avoid? Did i work too hard last week?

I have so many questions but is there any point in asking them? Rather than trying to find out what has caused this flare, is it best to just concentrate on trying to get over it?

The physical pain is bad enough but in some ways the emotional battering (self-induced maybe!) is worse. I'm trying to avoid spiralling down into a black hole of despair. Any positive thoughts would be most welcome.
