  • Arrrrrrgh! I have been FLARING FOR 6 WEEKS

It's time for a good old fashioned rant. So here I go.

What started out as a uti induced flare has lingered for 6 weeks. 3 weeks after the infection cleared up.This is the worst flare I have had in about 2 years. I went again Tuseday to get checked out for a uti and the culture results came back negative. Last week I found that I had 2 new hunner's ulcer's. Mine seem to come back every 6-8 months. I am sooooooo depressed tonight. I am absolutely, completely 100% miserable. I am going bonkers : I have a feeling it's going to be a very loooong night.
I can't seem to get comfortable. I hurts when I lie down. It hurts to sit. My bladder feels like it is full of hot acid. My frequency has been off the charts. I am peeing every 15-20 minutes. Every trip to the bathroom is agonizing. I am running out of toilet paper. The burning is excruciating. I am having the hunners's lasered off next Friday. I don't know if I can wait that long without completely losing my mind. I managed to work all 4 days of this holiday shortend week. A half-day Tuesday and a full day at the office Wed and Thurs. I worked home from today. (Friday). If I go more than 20 minutes without peeing I feel my bladder is literally going to explode. I am dealing with some major retention here because most of the time it's been dribble, dribble, dribble. I am sooooooo frustrated. I am soooooo very very very tired of the pain, burning, pressure and frequency that accompanies this awful disease. I sure hope having the hunner's removed will help put an end to this nightmare of a flare. I don't know how much more I can take. Everybody please pray for me.

        Texas,
I'm right there with you! I've been in the worst flare for over 8 weeks now. Been the longest and worst flare ever for me to. I'm so tired of being in pain, and I'm so tired of being tired. I feel like it's never going to end. It really wears on you mentally besides physically. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm 47 years old, married 27 years. I have two wonderful boys and two wonderful grandchildren. I was diagnosed in 1994. Life has certainly thrown me many many surprises, all of which I'm trying to stay positive and hopeful, and I try to think about my blessings not my misfortunes, when possible. Stay Strong!
