  • Big flare and I did it grrrrr

Ok I really have no reason to whine about this because I did it myself. I am 15 weeks pregnant and have lost 22 pounds do to nausea. I finally on Wednesday craved Orange Juice until I just couldn't take it anymore. Instead of a very small drink to get over the craving I drank 1'4 of the gallon DUHHHHHHHHHHHH. Baby took over my brain for a few minutes and I lost common sense when it came to IC diet. Needless to say I am in a uncontrollable flare and can take nothing for it. Thanks for listening even though it was my own dumbness.

You might try taking some antacids --- my doctor okayed them years ago when I was pregnant. And drink lots of water.

Hope you feel better very soon.

    Gentle hugs,
    Donna

There is an orange juice out that is low acid. I think it is by Tropicana. And it comes in a carton. I haven't tried it yet.

I have found two brands of low acid orange juice --- both Tropicana and Minute Maid have some in cartons --- and Minute Maid has a frozen one. I can get away with a small glass, with Prelief, but I wouldn't try a lot of it.

                    Leslie,
Sorry to hear you are "flaring"...I hope you (and the baby) feel better soon. I have to agree with Brat, you are not stupid! There are just times when "we" feel like, "hey, I want to eat/drink this, just this once." And, usually we pay for it later, but I don't think it is stupidity, just being human...

                        Leslie-
You weren't stupid-this is a terrible disease to deal with daily, plus a restricted diet is not something that is easy for us. I give in, especially to chocolate. I find Prelief works really well. Good luck-I wish you well! grouphug
