For the past couple of weeks I have been using KY "sensitive" lube with my dilators. I thought I was making a smart choice because it was glycerine, and paraban free. Boy was I wrong. I have ended up with a doozy of a yeast infection. I thought it burned a little when I was using the lube but I thought I was being oversensitIve. now, I believe it has aggravated my IC, and itches like crazy. i am someone who rarely gets yeast infection, and never got one outside of taking an antibiotic.
two of the ingredients listed are: propylene glycol, which wikipedia says people with interstitial cystis or vulvodynia can be very sensitive too. as well as people who are predisposed to yeast infections. the other ingredient is sorbitol! a sugar alcohol which should be avoided by people who are prone to yeast infections. I really thought I was a smart consumer, next time will read every single ingredient instead of trusting the word "sensitive."
