  • First flare in 4months!!!

I started cystoprotek 4months ago & I'd been doing so well on it that I thought I'd got this under control. I am on continuous birth control but had started to get big boils on my chin so switched to the combined pill to see if that helped. At the same time my doctor gave me zindaclin cream for my spots which contains an antibiotic (clydamycin?!?). A few days after I started using pill and cream, I kept getting frequency after opening my bowels. I didnt think too much of it. But for the next week this continued. I just presumed it was my pill so have gone back on continuous birth control. This was a week ago & now I am in a full blown flare. Throughout this time, I have been having troubles with loose bowels (sorry!) & whenever I open them, my bladder seems to flare up even more. It dawned on me that my flare might be related to the antibiotic cream. When I read up on this cream it says that side effects can include diarreah (sp) & that anybody who already has bowel problems shouldnt use it. I feel a bit annoyed that my doc didnt tell me this as I suspect I may have irritable bowel also. Ive stopped using the cream but flare is getting worse if anything. Confused about whats going on. Soooo upset that Im back in a flare & worried about how long its goin to last. Im angry at myself for making changes in the first place when I was feeling good!!
