Advice about the links between flares and yeast infections

In the middle of a very bad flare and I am convinced it is related to a yeast infection. Can anybody please comment on what is known about the links between yeast infections and flares? Does the infection spread to the bladder? What can I do - other than take a course of anti-fungals?
Am supposed to be going on holiday in a week with my children and am really down about the fact that I am having such a bad flare.

I have had 2 so far but, before the IC I never had a yeast infection.
