  • Feeling sick and discouraged

    Hi all,

I started on the Ic diet two weeks ago and my bladder was feeling stronger and I felt like I was getting better. The urgency to urinate went away.

Then I messed up! I decided to make these cabbage egg rolls and they had soy and vinegar in the wraps, and I also have been taking folic acid.

I know now that I shouldn't have eaten the wraps, but what about the folic acid?
Does anyone know if it's ok to take the folic acid? If I can't then I don't know what to do because my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I don't know what kind od supplement would be IC friendly.

Any who! I had to come home from work because feel sick and I am urinating every ten minutes and after I have used the bathroom I still feel like I have a full bladder kind of like a UTI.

Don't kick yourself. Drink lots of water to help dilute your urine and keep it from irritating your bladder more. Just get back on the horse and make a note to yourself: Don't do that again!!!
Not sure about the folic acid. Once your bladder calms back down take it and see if you have any problems.
You didn't blow it, we all make slips along the way. You had an off day and now you are suffering and I am sorry for that. I hope this passes quickly for you.

I think we all slip once in a while. Don't beat yourself up.
