I recently was ill (sore throat, cough, etc) and was prescribed Nasonex, a steroid shot, and a zpac (concentrated antibiotics) and went into a flare the day after starting the z pac. Anyone else had this problem??

I just got over bronchitis, took z pak, cough meds and a steroid shot, I was thinking it was the cough meds that made me hurt maybe it was the antibiotic???IC diagnosis 3 weeks ago.
Vesicare 10 mg once daily
IBS and Gerd-Zegerid
IC diet
Elmiron 100 mg three daily
Hydroxyzine 25 mg at night
Amitriptyline 10mg at night
Diovan 60/12.5 daily
Topral 50 mg daily
Zoloft 100 mg at night
Klonopin .5 twice daily -
I have taken a z pack twice this winter and my bladder was fine, but at the time my bladder was the best it has been in a long time, so maybe if it was in worse shape it may have bothered my bladder I don't know.

when i take a z pac i do flare only because i get yeast infections which makes my VV and IC worse.. Have you been checked for one? Antibiotics kill all bacteria--the good and bad so yeast can thrive in those conditions.Diagnosis: IC '09, vulvodynia '10, fructose intolerance '06, GERD '06, fibromyalgia '09, IBS '10 and TMJ '09, PCOS '11, genital herpes '12
Current Meds: Butrans patch, welbutrin, lamictol, geodon, xanax, aldactone, linzess, topimax, trazadone and diflucan as needed.
Meds tried before: Elmiron, elavil, antibiotics, welbutrin, cymbalta, prozac, nerve blocks, instills, nyastatin, flexerol, percocet, naproxen (which was what I was given for pain for years).Comment
