  • Uti/Kidney Infection

Over the holiday weekend I thought I had a uti but the culture came back negative, so I was not issued an antibiotic. So last Thursday morning woke with back pain, fever and chills. I went to the ER and naturally what probably was a low grade uti had traveled to my kidneys and I was admitted into the hospital for a miserable 3 days of IV treatment to get the infection under control retuning home early Sunday morning. I've been given a two weak course of levaquin so maybe I will get better eventually. All this trauma has sent my MS symptoms into overdrive. Fatigue, muscle weakness and spasms along with ridiculous incontinence. I can't stay dry therefore I can't sleep I am so depressed. My body is falling apart. Prayers are welcome.

    Re: Uti/Kidney Infection

I'm so sorry you're having such a miserable time. When I was very sick with pneumonia, I also suffered with urinary incontinence, which went away when I was recovered. I wore incontinence panties (we called them pull-ups) for a while.

    Warm hugs,
