Hi all,
I have definitly been MIA for awhile. The reason is I have been seriously ill since the middle of December. I have been hospitalized twice and have had every bowel test known to man. I have lost about 21 pounds and I was only 130 to begin with. I was unable to eat for about 2 months. I was living off of Ensure Plus. All the tests have come back negative. My GI is very concerned. He has now given me a pill to take a half hour before meals. He wants me to be able to eat. The pill helps to keep the food in and curbs the violent nausea I was having. It would appear that I might have a motility disorder. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but that is what the pill is for. There is something wrong with my intestines.
I am still in chronic pain and he wants to fix the eating problem before we try to help the pain. Talk about needing motivation. Thanks to having gone through the IC and fibro diagnosis, I wasn't as depressed as I would have been. The motivation to keep going even though I have zero strength came out of nowhere. I have been reading all the posts on this board and that helped. A BIG thank you to all of you who helped with this board (especially Teri - I love you and hope your surgery went well). I hope to be on here daily to keep my mind off things. I missed you guys!!!! I will keep you all updated on my as of yet undiagnosed condition.
Lots of love,
Laura
