September is Pain Awareness Month, a month devoted to promoting greater understanding about pain among health care professionals, individuals living with pain, and the families of those living with chronic, acute, and other types and causes of pain. August 29, 2011 – Chronic pain affects an estimated 116 million American adults—more than the total affected by heart disease, cancer and diabetes combined, according to a recent Institute of Medicine report.
It is also IC Awareness Month as well.
