  • Pain clinic

I was seen at a pain clinic an hour and a half from my house last Thursday for pain management. I was told by the doc there that it was not feasible for me to travel to see hime for pain meds because it was so far a way so he said that he would get a letter out to my primary care doc so that he could prescribe the meds that he suggested but it has been a week and no word yet. I haven't had any luck getting ahold of them either. I have been a alot of pain for about 6 months now and I am taking Vicoden for it 5 a day average unless it is a really bad then I take more I am hopeing that I have enough to last until i get to see my primary care again, that isn't till wednesday the 28th. I am not too sure if I have enough or not hopefully I do.
My primary still has no paperwork yet, from the other doctor.
Anyway just needed to vent some, thank you.

Sorry you are having to deal with pain AND with trying to get some decent meds from your doc. There's the saying about the noisy something getting the grease (sorry, I'm tired)...so keep on the pain clinic to get that info to your PCP.

      Claudia,
Those pics are awesome! Wow! How are you feeling BTW? As far as the pain management thing, I agree--keep squeaking. You deserve consistent relief.

Thanks, Barb!! I was finishing up my last photo shoot when hubby walked in, and the photographer let him get in for a few shots! Anyway, I am feeling better, still very tired but I can tell a huge difference with the interstim trial. I've even had regular BMs since the surgery, which is amazing for me!!

I'm glad the Interstim is working for you. I might pick your brain down the line if you don't mine as my uro in Orlando is offering the Interstim as a separate option, a cystectomy, or a pubo-vaginal sling with collagen injections directly into the urethra. So I'll have Jessica Simpson....TMI(just kidding) That hubby of yours is no slouch himself.
