I'd be honest with your NP or doctor about your pain issues and the fact you suspect you've developed migraines from your Ultram. You really shouldn't take something that makes you feel worse!!

I know it's really nerve-wracking; whenever I have to bring up an issue with my pain doc, I'm terrified she's going to think I'm crazy or turning into an addict, but so far, she has always treated me compassionately and thought I was being quite rational and reasonable. Wish I could say the same thing for this one nasty nurse at that clinic... but I like it there as long as I don't have to see or hear her.

She should be able to change your prescription. I know mine does. Good luck at your appointment and let us know how it goes.

Don't give up on antidepressants. At very low doses it may not effect your weight at all. And if you feel better, you'll exercise more.

    Good luck at your appointment.

  • Very anxious about pain management appt tomorrow!

I have a pain management appt tomorrow and I am nervous bringing up the fact that my pain meds no longer work(Norco 4X and Ultram 2X) Ultram is giving me major migraines! I need a change in meds and I hope it will not be a problem!I got a call yesterday from the automated system confirming my appt with the nurse practitioner. Well normally I would not mind but will she be able to change my meds being that she is a Nurse Practitioner? Or does that not matter? I am having anxiety about this pm appt all week! I have to go back to work on Sat and I will not be able to like this! I am in pain 24/7 without relief!I can`t take it anymore. My life is hell and I do not want to get up in the morning. I wish I could stay in bed all day. But I have 2 kids to care for plus my friends son that I watch after school plus errands and so on. I have gained almost 40 lbs quickly from lack of exercise. I am dragging myself. I know that I need an antidepressant but I cannot afford to gain any more weight. I think if I had proper pain relief I would be more active and the weight would come off. My stomach is sick thinking about this appt tomorrow!
