Yes, My insurance also covers my pain clinic appointments, like the others it is slightly higher. My primary care doctor visits are $20.00 and the specialist are $30.00. I don't know what other insurance companies runs though.

Ashley, are you near middle GA? I have IC too and see a pain clinic locally. W/o them, I would not be able to work and it's covered by insurance. PM me if you would like some info

My insurance also covers pain clinic visits, although the copay is slightly higher than a visit to my GP.

My insurance does. My gyn referred me and I have to pay just my ususal co-pay for an office visit.
One thing I have learned is to let my doctors know I want meds that have a generic version, if possible...much cheaper.
Best wishes

Pain Clinics - does insurance cover the cost?
I have read a lot about pain clinics. My current uro refused to give me pain meds to help me through this long flare I am having. I learned after over a year of suffering that my pain is IC.
I was just wondering if pain clinics are covered under insurance? We live in GA.
We are not poor, but as most of you know the pile of meds I am taking keeps adding up. We just added Zyrtec and Sinuglar to the pile which was about $100 together or so. (sigh) I feel so guilty lately about how much IC is costing my family & I. So I would hate to suggest a pain clinic to my doctor only to find out it is going to cost us even more money.Tags: None
