  • Bad Pain

Hi Friends. Last night ,out of the blue, my pain level shot way up. I went to the pain doctor a week ago and I am on morphine for pain so I don't understand this. My ic pain has always been in my back and that is where I am hurting. It feels like someone has kicked me in the back. I made it through last night and have just woken up and the pain is still raging. If this doesn't let up I guess I am going to have to ask my husband to take me to the emergency room. I hurt so bad. frown

Hi, I think you better see a doctor soon (today). You may have a kidney infection, and that needs to be treated ASAP. Please call your doctor or go to ER. I hope you feel better soon.

I think a trip to emergency room is a good idea. And please let us know what you find out.

      Sending gentle hugs,
      Stay safe

          Miss Mary,
I agree you should definitely be seen ASAP. You live in my area. I'm in Duncanville. I think we have the same dr. England? If your running a fever too you most definitely have an infection. If not you still need to get your pain level down. I had a shot of morphine in the ER a few weeks ago and that helped me a lot. It stopped the escalation of the pain and allowed me to rest. I too am on morphine but it just wasn't cutting it with an added infection. The injected morphine is more potent and hits you quicker than the pills.

I hope you feel better soon! grouphug

Hi Guys hi I'm sorry that it's taken me a few days to get back with ya'll but I just wasn't feeling good enough to get on my computer until today. The awlful pain I had last weekend did subside Thank God. I did not got to the er. I did see my pain doctor yesterday and she upped ny dosage of morphene and also gave me a rx for break through pain as well. The reason that I didn't go to the er is because #1 I'm really scared to put myself in their hands. I have experienced doctors who have no clue as to why I'm in pain and who also have never even heard of ic! banghead and #2 I was worried about the cost of a trip to the hospital. My family's health insurance plan does not cover anything having to do with ic (preexisting condition) and I'm already draining our bank account. My meds cost about $400.00 amonth as it is. And now that Im going to a pain management doctor that means a once a month trip to see her which is $80.00 a visit. toilet Anyway, i do have some stronger meds now and I am feeling much better except for feeling completely exhausted. Pain wears me out. Thanks for all your good thoughts.I really love you all. grouphug
