  • Surgery Update

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the doc let me come home tonite cause i was doing good as in moving around, etc. Im gonna take it easy tonite and rest and will try to get online tomorrow.

The doctor said the difficulty of the surgery was something akin to taking a handful of shredded mozerella cheese and throwing it into a hot oven, then waiting until it was burnt on hard then removing the burnt cheese without scratching the oven's surface. The masses that appeared to be ovaries were large knots of scar tissue, cysts and adhesions welded against the pelvic wall, they were inflammed and surrounded by a sack of bloody liquid. There were also remnants of ovaries there as well. The bowels were knotted up and pressing against the bladder and were wrapped up with scar tissue, adhesions and cysts.

Im really sore from the surgery and on pain meds that are keeping me sedated so I am gonna try and just rest.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and thoughts.. you all mean the world to me and your support has helped me through this difficult time. Looking forward to chatting with everyone tomorrow.

          Morgan,

You must be sooooo relieved that surgery found all that which could have been causing all or attributing to pain and dr. did find so you know you weren't crazy. I'm so happy for you. What type of dr. did your surgery? Continue to rest and feel better. Sending hugs your way. grouphug grouphug grouphug

Thanks everyone for your hugs :-) Julie, my Gyno done the surgery.. he is a great doc. He said that since alot of the mess he removed was pressed against my bladder that he is hopeful I will even see relief from the bladder pain as well.

I just put on my first fentanyl patch this morning.. how long does it take for those to start working? My Gyno also gave me percocet for pain but Im not supposed to take other pain meds without talking to my pain doctor first because I signed a pain contract.. however, I cant get in touch with him till tomorrow so I am going to take a chance that he will say it is ok for me to take the percocet for breakthrough pain since I had such a major surgery done and use them throughout the day as well.

I will be online off and on today depending on how I feel so anyone can msg me via msgn if they want :-)

              Thanks again for your support!
