  • Out of the blue flare up!

Help! My IC has been in remission for about 6 months or so and all of a sudden I am having issues again. It feels like a temporary flare up, but it's been almost a week with no relief. Prior to this, I was eating everything (well almost, no citric fruits and no alcoholic beverages) and have been fine up to this point. I read somewhere that paint fumes can bring on a flare up. Has anyone had this experience? How long are the flareups supposed to last? I am on 4 Elmiron per day and it's been doing wonders for me, until now. What is going on with me? Am I starting from scratch here and have to build back up like when I first started on the Elmiron?

Have you thought maybe it's an infection? Might be worth a check. And I maybe back to the basics on the diet. I hope you're feeling better soon.
