  • 1st visit to a pain specialist and nervous

I am going to a pain specialist tomorrow for the first time and have no idea what to expect. My Uro/gyn has tried so many things (Elmiron, vesicare, etc.) and nothing has helped the pain.

I have a fear of going in and not being taken seriously and I'm desperate for relief, any relief, at this point.

Any tips or just ideas about what to expect?

    Thanks
    ~Star B.

You might want to make a list of the things that are difficult for you --- if you are up to the bathroom multiple times every night, note that. If you can't operate the vacuum cleaner, note it. If you are having problems with a job, that's important. If sex is a problem, be sure to include. I hope you are able to get some relief.
