  • Need help please

I am 31 yrs old been diagnosed with ic for three years. I also have a history with kidney stones and have 2 very small functioning ureters on my lft kidney. I have done the dmso, hydro distention and all the meds nothing helps. I have had a complete hysterectomy because of endometreosis and adnomiosis. I am currently in horrible pain and cant get no releif from my ic. I have been trying to pass a kidney stons for the past month the dr say that because it is small I shouldnt have any trouble. Ii hae lost almost ten pounds in a month because I have not been able to hold food down becase of the pain, went to the er didnt even see a dr all they done was treat me like an addict I am so sick of this. I know that stress is my main trigger and I have been under an emmence amount of that lately. I live in kentucky if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. My uro couldnt see me til tuesday.

to the IC Network family. I'm glad you found us.

Are you following an IC diet? If not, I suggest you begin today --- you'll find the latest food list at the link in my signature below. You'll also want to be sure you drink six to eight cups of water every day to help keep your urine diluted.

There are some things you might try to help get you out of your flare. Some find relief from taking a small amount of baking soda in water --- tastes terrible and has too much sodium if you're on a restricted diet. I can't do the soda, but have found that three or four plain white Tums helps me out of a flare --- and it has some needed calcium. AZO is available over the counter and can help with irritation --- it does turn the urine bright orange and stains things fairly easily so you might want to wear panty liners if you try it.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you Donna I do follow the diet very very carefully. I have a kidney stone and a
e coli infection. I have done all the meds. I was on hormone replacement therapy but had to stop it because it was making my ic worse. I was doing really good til I encountered an emmence amount of stress, I found out that my oldest was being abused by his father. Thats just not the kind of stress u can make go away with a pill. Its this stupid stone and stress thats got me crazy!!!!

        I'll be thinking of you.
