  • For Jodi and Rosalie

    Sorry for all the questions!

I've had Catherine Temelcos recommended to me but no one is in her office today to make an appt.

You both mentioned Anita Clark. Would you mind telling me how you feel about her? Is IC/PBS her specialty? Would you recommend her? Knowledgeable, friendly, understanding??

I just called Daniel Moon's office where I have an appt. for March 7, because while many doctors have said he's really top notch, I didn't know if he specializes in this and I'm in too much pain to wait an entire month. They said he does see patients w/ it but he sees patients w/ a variety of issues. That kind of left me feeling it may not be his real area of interest.

Also, I have to see my gyn next week who did my cystoscopy- can a specialist give you a referral to another specialist or do you have to go back to your GP? (I'm from the US - been here awhile but never used the system so much!).

Thanks a million, sorry if being a nuisance.

I know your post is for Rosalie or Jodi, but I have been seeing Anita Clarke since 2002 and I would highly recommend her. She's one of the kindest and nicest specialists I've ever seen, and she has quite a few of us IC patients so she knows a bit about it.

The only problem is that she might have a waiting list of a few weeks or so, so that may not suit you since you need to see someone ASAP.

Holly, your questions are not a problem. That is what we are all here for, to help one another out.
I have a lot of faith in Anita. She has always been pleasant, informative, interested and hit the nail right on the head with my medication. I would have no doubts about recommending her to anyone. Its a while back now, so I can't remember how long it took to get an appointment with her. I do remember however, speaking to the lovely Shirley at her reception who was also most helpful.

Hey there Kirsten, nice to see you. How are things going? I hope all is well with you.

          Hi there Hollyd,
So sorry not to have got back to you. I have been really good since the end of last year and I really thought I was getting better and did not end up going to see Anita. Silly me!!!!! Anyway I have just made my appointment with Anita and I have to wait till May. I am quite bad at the moment and had almost forgotten what it was like. I have been eating all the wrong foods.
Everyone I have ever spoken to about Anita said she was excellent. My GP is going to see if she can get me in any earlier otherwise it will be May. Please let me know how you go.
