I am just wondering who in Vancouver has been to Dr. Fenster and who has been Dr. Poon the male uro not Christian Poon a female uro?

My friend who has IC has seen Dr Fenster, and goes to see Dr Poon (could be the female dr) in North Vancouver. What did you want to know?

Just want to know what he is like, what sorts of treatments he does, what to expect for a first visit.

I have been to see him once now, at the first visit I waited quite awhile to see him, he was very busy, seemed rushed, asked and answered his own questions, didn't give me time to answer and didn't seem to like my answers anyways.

I decided I would wait to decided what I thought about him after I see him next time. He decided that he needed more info about my case and sent out requests to past uros for all tests done and all reports they have on my conditions.

I am to then go back and see him in Sept after he has had a chance to review my file and let me know what he thinks. He only wants to repeat tests that he feels I have to have (which I like). So I will go see him in Sept and decided then what I think about him.

I went to Dr. Chirstina Poon I was reffered to her by another uro who didn't know what to do with me, I din't really jive with her, her front desk person needs to take lesson on speaking politley to people and listening. She phoned me to book my first app and said it would only be 15 mins, I said I am traveling 8 hrs each way to see her could she see if I could have a longer app, she said no we don't do that, when I got to the app Dr. Poon was mad that I had such a complicated case and she only had 15 mins which was no where near enough time.

She then decided to do a urodynamics test on me which I am sure was the next test I needed, but afterwards she was going on about how bad the functionallity of my bladder was ( she didn't believe me before the test) then she was suggesting a treatment so I started asking her all kinds of questions, she was getting flustered, but I will not just let someone do some treatment on me unless I understand how it is supposed to help me and the risks involved, she finally admitted to me that she had never actually done it on anyone but had read about it.

I have since been told by 2 other uors that you never do that treatment for my problems it would for sure make things worse for me.

But thanks for the rsponse, I would still like to know what your friend thought about Dr. fenster and why she/he changed uros.
