Dr Nickel ( researcher of the year) completely blew me off when I asked for some names of IC urologists in Toronto / with a one liner "Your Doctor has to refer you"

I use Dr. Leslie Carr at SunnyBrook hospital - she is also on the IC research team - extremely nice and compassionate - you need a referral and it usually takes 6 months - it's worth it - once your in she follows you every 6 to 8 months 😊

You really do have to self advocate with this affliction don't you - my family doctor is clueless but helpful but she also suspects me of being a little paranoid and nuts - I really can't go back to her without a plan of my own because she hasn't got one.

I know this post is a little old, but just wondering if you were able to find a good urologist in Toronto? I have seen 3 over the past 2 years and none wanted to help patients with IC. I'm currently seeing pain management specialist in the Wasser clinic in Toronto, but that is only treating pain, not my IC. Thank you!

Hi - just joined, but thought you could try Dr. Colleen McDermott at Mt. Sinai. She's been really great for me. She's a uro-gynecologist and I find that's better than trying to find a urologist who's remotely familiar with women's issues. Good luck!
