Are there any IC patients in Huntsville/Madison? If so, please respond. I would love to talk with someone in my area about possibly starting a support group. Thanks in advance for your response and have the best day you can.
So I went to my old uro just to see about maybe something for the outside burning and he informed me he had told me back in 2007 that he could not help me anymore (had not had any IC issues until UTI back in March.) Did not remember that conversation. He said he gave up trying to figure IC out and had turned those patients elsewhere. So I believe his receptiontist knew this and still scheduled me an appt. instead of suggesting that I find another dr. So 3 hours in waiting room and my $50 specialist co pay later I ended with 5 min of his time and nothing to help me. Sorry I just wanted to vent this has been bothering me. Maybe it was nobody's fault but I felt so aggravated about the situation. So now I am hunting for a new uro maybe one who will actually care.
Hi Kat,
I live in Mathews,AL. It is 15 minutes outside of Montgomery,AL. I just wanted to say that I know exactly how it feels to be turned away by a Urologist. I actually went to a new Urologist and she walked into the exam room and scanned over my file. She basically threw me out. She said "I don't know what you want me to do?" "I can't help you." "I don't even know why you came to me." I walked out and just busted out into tears. She was so mean. I really hope you find a great Uro!!!

Good news got an appt with a dr in Hunstville Friday. Dr. Chakrabarty they got me in quick. maybe will get back on right path again. Hey Bamagirl I hope you found a great uro in the southern part of the state ?? Thanks for the support too and hope you are doing well.
Good Morning ! Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I am so grateful that the medical community is addressing a real health concern that affects so many.
I used to go to Dr. Chakrabarty and he did DMSO treatments for me. I just learned that he moved. does anyone have another good doc in Huntsville for IC?
Not to get too personal but does he use numbing medicine in his bladder instillations? My old dr (chakrabarty) did and it helped so much. Then I tried another doc who didn't have any numbing medicine in the treatment and it was unbearable!
