  • Seeking Physician Referral in Orange County, CA

    Hello.

I'm considering getting a second opinion (and possibly a new doctor). Does anyone know if there is a doctor who specializes in IC in Orange County, CA (or in a nearby area of Los Angeles County)?

    Thank you.

Hi, Hatshepsut ~ I go to what I consider the most compassionate and determined to get me to a sense of normalcy doctor and his staff. His name is Dr. Matthew Clark, in Newport Beach. I drive about 40 miles to get there, sometimes 2xWeek, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. They answer their phones, stay open during lunch, always accommodate my need for an appt and his PA, Salpi is superb. I feel like I'm in the best hands ever.

He has performed 2 surgeries on my last year and has gotten my IC manageable. We're still working on problems I have, but both my husband and I have complete confidence in him and his staff.....especially after the arrogant uro I was seeing before Dr. Clark)

Best wishes finding the doctor that right for you. Feel free to PM me if you have additional questions.

    Blessings,
Never heard of IC til suspected....Never knew so many suffer from it. Praying for a cure. I've found answers...so can you...keep the hope.

When I lived in L.A. I went to Dr. Shlomo Raz, in Westwood by UCLA. I think he's still practicing there. I found him to be very good.
IC & fibromyalgia since ~'77. Osteoarthritis since ~'88. Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (autoimmune blood disease) since '96. IBS for who knows how long. Interstim implant 2/04, revised 6/06, replaced 11/12 & again in 9/17. Antibodies to thyroid since at least '92 (finally diagnosed & treated 1/06). Asthma & vocal cord dysfunction 12/06. Hypoglycemia '07. Perimenopausal at 37, menopause at 45. Pituitary & adrenal failure. Osteopenia. Grade 3 sacral fracture by S3-S4 at age 12, healed 14mm out of place.

I've been to all the doctors we all have seen here on the site. My PT referred me to Dr. David Karaba in Costa Mesa. Call the Pacific Center for Optimum Health in Costa Mesa, CA on 17th Street. Phone is (949) 873-5886. It's the best thing I ever did. No one has been sicker than I was after my diagnosis nearly 2 years ago. Now my bladder is completely healed and I'm out of pain! This caring, hope filled, cutting edge practice saved my life and Dr. Karaba may be able to save yours too. He coordinates Western medicine with integrative therapies that get to the root cause of the auto immune cases, IC diagnosis, allergies and the emotional pieces as well. His practice calms the inflammation to get your body back to health. WOW! What a difference. I don't have to live with IC! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
