  • Please recommend psychiatrist or therapist in Denver, CO

I've recently moved to Denver, and while I've found a terrific urogynecologist as well as a great PT to help with my IC, I haven't been able to find a psychiatrist or therapist locally. I have been in therapy for many years. While my current (former) psychiatrist handled my pain management as well as cognitive behavior therapy, my major concern right now is finding a good psychiatrist who works with anxiety and understands complex family backgrounds as well as chronic pain. Does anyone have ANY recommendations? I am striking out. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried asking one of your current medical professionals for suggestions? Another option is to talk with the medical staff office at your local hospital. They probably can't make a recommendation, but sometimes if you ask the question right, they will answer. Ask which psychiatrist they would see --- and they just might tell you.

Thank you, Donna. The referrals aren't returning my calls, but I will try the hospital staff. I appreciate your feedback and your ongoing generosity of your time and assistance on this forum.
