Hello Everyone!
Just a reminder of our upcoming meeting on Saturday, February 22nd.
For those of you who were unable to attend our first meeting of the year, there were a lot of helpful things being shared amongst 25 IC friends. The turnout was great and I am so happy to be in a group with such wonderful people.
Also, for those of you who were at our last meeting, I had passed out information that once collected, will help our newly diagnosed friends find both knowledgeable and compassionate doctors in their area. It will be of great help if you can have them filled out and returned to me at our next meeting. If you aren't able to attend this one, just bring it to a future meeting or mail it to me.
For our February meeting, we will have an open discussion. If the group is as large as the last time, we will divide the group into newly diagnosed and veteran ICers.
I also would like to share with you, a way to take tension out of your body during stressful times. As most of you already know, stress and tension can play havoc on our bladders and pelvic floor muscles. You will only need 15 minutes and a quiet space just for you. I will also give a few tips for travel, touch on sexuality and IC, and tell you about some products that have been made available to us as well as things I have found to have helped me.
I don't know about you, but I think this has been a very long and somewhat depressing winter. Having IC can be bad enough but with this long, cold and wet winter here on the East Coast, it can make for the blues. On the days I feel well, I try very hard to keep busy because I know that spring is not far away. With that, I know that we are one more season closer to a cure for IC!
Happy Valentine's Day to you all!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.....,
An IC Friend, Molly
