  • Boston OB/GYN recommendations?

    Hi ICers-
I was looking for a gyno in the Boston area that was sensitive to IC and pelvic pain issues. I'd like to try to get pregnant in the future (if I can get off my meds!), so someone who did obstetrics as well would be preferable. Any ideas?
    Best,
    Jeanne

Hi, I am from Medway, MA, but I don't know of any boston obgyns. I have a good urologist in Norwood MA. Just pm me or emial me at [email protected] and I will give you his name and number and address. I hope this helps somewhat. Hang in there. There is always hope.

        Hi Jeanne,

This is a nice post to reply to. Dr. Bruce Cohen is at Beth Isreal. He is known for high risk pregnancies and I don't know if he also does general obgyn, but it he does, you should give him a call. Everyone loves him. Caring, smart. I think he was a Best of Boston doc. If not, it sounds as though he should be!

I see Dr. Andrea Zuckerman at New England Medical Center (NEMC). She is the best. She is very patient, understanding, personalable, and she will work with you to find the treatments that are best for you and that you want. I know she specializes in dealing with multiple births like triplets, quad, quints etc... Those are high risk pregnacies so I assume she is familiar with them. NEMC is doing tons of research on IC. My urologist is a leading expert on kids with IC. His youngest patient is like 9 years old. There is also Dr. Sant who I hope to change over to who has done lots of research and has written a few books on IC. I think he is on the ICA's list of physcians for IC. I don't know if this helps. Good Luck.
