hi~ my name is alison and i am undergoing testing to see if IC is what i have. my GU seems to think that it is, and i agree. i am 21 and also have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and some gi problems. i am from vermont and have lived here all of my life. i was going to school for environmental education, but due to my illnesses have had to take some time off. i would be a senior this year. i have had kidney stones before and at first we thought that it was more of them. it wasn't. i like to hike, when i'm able to, and just be outside. i'm trying to learn how to deal with this illness too. how does everyone else deal with it? i thought that i was crazy, but i feel better now that we're putting a name to all of the symptoms that i get. i look foward to getting to know everyone else

Hi, just curious as to what part of the state you are from. I hope you get some answers soon so that maybe they will be able to help you. I know how difficult it can be to have so much going on that it really affects how you want to live your life. Judith <img src="graemlins/bunny.gif" border="0" alt="[bunny]" />

        Ali,

There's a link on this board that I went to before and after I was diagnosed with IC. It's called the ICN patient handbook and it gives lots of advice on what IC is and how to treat it.

        Best Wishes to you!

          Hi buttercup,
I know what you mean about finally knowing what is causing all of the crazy IC symptoms. I am going back to school in January and am scared because I am not well yet. I am almost finished my masters in Elem. Ed. but dealing with so many kids and having IC scare me. I hope that you get well soon! I think that you should do all the research you can on treatments! GGGGoood luck!!
