Dr Theoharides to be at our October Meeting!

Hello Everyone,

We had a successful part 1 Fall Educational Meeting. My good friends Gaye & Andrew Sandler made it in from New Orleans and both did a wonderful job with their presentation and speech!
Along with Fred Kurz the Therapist and Consultant for Medtronics,Inc., we had a surprise guest speaker, Dr. Friedman, one of the top Urologists from the Metrowest area. The doctor did a wonderful job explaining the InterStim as being an optional treatment when medications and other treatments don't work. There were some great door prizes and great handouts.

Dr. Theoharides will be joining us and I must say we are really looking forward to hearing him speak. He will also give us plenty of time to answer so many of the questions that ICers have.

It is a busy time for me trying to coordinate these meetings but it is also rewarding to know that our IC friends have a place to reach out and find hope when they are feeling alone.Many times they find the treatment option right for them.

Hope to see my IC friends in a few weeks!

Six years ago when I was bedridden I spoke with Dr. Theoharides on the phone. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable about IC. He promotes atarax and, although it did not work for me, I found him to be one of the most caring doctors I have ever spoken to. You are lucky to have him at your meeting!

Molly, I was not able to come to the September meeting due to a very hectic schedule that weekend, but I am definitely looking forward to the October meeting. I am so glad that Septembers meeting went well. I will come early to the meeting to help out!!!!! See you at the end of the month wink

Hi Molly, I will be there in flare or not. I met a women today at the uro offices and she was reading a phamplet on cytitis and I told her about the meeting and she said she may be there. I am flaring but have no infection. I had to go pick up my scripts after work and they gave me some samples of urlle. It seems to be working. I hope you are doing good. I just wish I could go back into remisson. see you on saturday.
