  • Urology Specialists Of The Lehigh Valley

I finally found a female CRNP that treats IC her name is Debra Kramer and her office is on Cedar Crest Blvd in Allentown, PA. Anyone ever use her or another doctor in her practice?? There is another MD there that treats IC but I really want a woman and she is the only one around for many, many miles. I am really happy she is a CRNP I think they listen more and are better at treating the whole person than an MD. My current Urologist treats IC but does not specialize and I think I am at the limit of his treatment abilities. Every time I ask to try a new treatment he want me to come in to his office. It's 45 minuted each way and he doesn't examine me so why can't it be done over the phone. This flare is in it's 4th month. UGH! Need someone that understands or really cares. She has been a Urology CRNP for 28 years. I am really hoping I have found a good one.

Ok, Saw the NP today for the first time. She is wonderful!!!!!!!! I feel like she listened to me and we speak the same language. She REALLY knows her stuff. I never got that from my old Uro. I did my own research and went to him with ideas. He should have come to me with ideas. Through my research I started to think it was Urethritis. I asked my old Uro and he said no. She came up with it on her own after a 10 minute evaluation. She prescribed an antibiotic especially for urinary issues like Urethritis and want to see me back in 3 weeks. The halfway point of the treatment. She said by then I will know if it is helping or not. If not she wants to take a look inside, do a cystoscopy with hydro. I am praying she got it right the first time and all I will need is 3 more weeks of meds. It's amazing what a huge difference it can be when you find the right doctor. I actually have hope now. I feel like a have a partner in treating this. Hope is hard to find in IC. I am so happy to have some today. I would HIGHLY recommend her. She is worth the drive.

I live in Bethlehem and have been going to Dr Horne. How did you find the gal on Cedar Crest?

I think I found her through Web MD. Are you happy with your Dr.? Here is her info if you want to give her a try.

I have also found that her office staff is amazing. When I call with questions they call me right back. When I call for refills they send them to the pharmacist the same day. When I was having a rough time and called to see if they had any ideas they gave me a new medicine to try. They really care. I can't say enough good things about the NP and her office staff. I have never said that about any type of Dr. ever before.
