Ohio with I.C.

Hey all, I'm from Athens, Ohio. Male 45 and found out a few months ago I have I.C. I was actually diagnosed in the summer of 1996 but wasn't given the diagnosis. I only found out by getting a copy of my medical records, but that's a long story.

I need to find a doctor in Ohio who has an interest in treating I.C. Any recomendations you could give me?

Thanks for the welcome. I do have an appointment with Dr. Nelson mid September. Just hope it works out with him. I made an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic earlier in the year but it's a long way to go if I'm in a bad flare situation.

Before I had the diagnosis of I.C. I had found I can get relatively healthy taking Zithromax and a lot of other things. I even took a 3200 mile rv. trip to Key West, then three weeks later to Boulder, Co. I did experience urinating blood for the first time the night we stayed over in Miami. I also urinated a "floater" shortly after. At the end of both trips I started getting sick again.

I would go to the group meetings if you get them up and running. I'm trying to figure out the food stuff right now, frustrating, but profitable. Sustained improvement is my goal, just trying to find my way, like everyone else. I have managed to get past years of chronic pelvic pain, don't ever want to go there again.

I've done a little reading here and now know what interstim means.

Looking back, I had a bladder spasm in 1994 while reading a book on the couch. Didn't think anything of it at the time, other then that had never happened before.

Looks like I still have a lot to learn. Thankfull that you all are here [img]smile.gif[/img]
