  • Need uro in Lafayette Louisiana

    Hello,

    I am moving to Lafayette Louisiana to get my PhD in Communication Disorders in August (from Cincinnati). I got my diagnosis in Cincinnati 6 years ago and have never switched Dr.'s: Can anyone recommend someone to me in Lafayette, Baton Rouge or Lake Charles?

    Currently dealing with IC (diagnosed May 2001), Fibromyalgia (January 2000) and ADHD (1998 sometime) and vulvodynia (Jan. 08)

    I work in the schools helping students with disabilities. I am a speech language pathologist working as an Assistive Technology Specialist. A very do-able job with IC.

    Medications

    Meds that I take:
    Elmiron 2 x day ; Effexor XR 37.5 ; Ritalin;
    Nasonex; Atarax 10 mg (night); Lidocaine 5%; monthly B-12 shots; Pyridium as needed

    Meds I am trying
    Urell

    Supplements that help:

    Condroitin Sulfate; Calcium Citrate; Magnesium Glycinate; Olive Leaf Extract; daily probiotic

    Other treatments that help:
    Physical Therapy for PFD; Massage for Fibro; Chiropractic for Fibro; IF Unit (like a tens unit) for pain

    I live in Louisiana, but I live on the north bank.. I know a few good uros in
    New Orleans, but that would be an hour and 1/2 drive for you..
    But I will ask around... Good luck with our move

    Meds For IC: Lyrica-25mg Glucosamine-500 MSM-500mg, Prosed Ds -When Flaring

    Other Meds: Levlite- Continious Birtcontrol, Micardis-40mg for High Blood Pressure

    Meds I have Tried:
    Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
    Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
    Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..

    Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
    Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.

    Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.
