Re: Anyone in the Houston Area?

I have also heard great things about Dr. Lotze, but when I was seeking a diagnosis in 2006, it was going to take 3-4 months to get an appointment with him. To get an appointment sooner, I agreed to see an associate in his office. A cystoscopy was performed in the office and I was misdiagnosed as not having IC. Unfortunately, I did not pursue the diagnosis again until 2009. My internist referred me to Dr. Kevin Nickell of Houston Metro Urology group. Dr. Nickell explained to me that someone with IC cannot be properly diagnosed without having the cystoscopy under anesthetic. IC patients cannot tolerate the pain from the stretching of the bladder, thus the need for anesthetic. This explains why I was misdiagnosed 3 yrs earlier. I have also heard good things about Dr Stephen Lapin, also of Houston Metro Urology group.

I'm in the middle of looking for a new urologist, since the one I have I'm not too happy with, and have heard great things about Dr. Lotze. I will definitely check him out.

Hi I'm in Katy dr is dr Lotze . My pain management dr is Dr Burton he is great . Really looking to talk to people in Houston and maybe start a support group . Please email me at [email protected] .com
I got together with another lady with Ic yesterday . We had a wonderful chat . And it makes you realize you have do much more you need yo day when you can physically chat to someone . It is truly comforting . Or my phone is 281 928 0082 . Please contact so we can start to get to know each other . Houston had a great support group before . I feel so sorry for people just starting out with no one to physically help them out . A phone call is so important if you feel alone . My dr had a 15 year old boy in his office the other day . It was frustrating because I had no way of telling him there are people out there willing to help . If you don't want to meet up and you are to sick . Please let me know .
    Helen

Dr. Lotze is a Urogynocologist. Dr. Phan use to practice at Baylor but now he has his private practice which is called Houston Pain Assoc. I have also seen Dr. Lapin and Dr. Delhey. They are both great!!

Hope, is Dr. Lotze a gynecological urologist? At Woman's Hospital? His name sounds familiar and I'm thinking it's from there. Where does the pain mgmt doctor you mentioned practice?
My urologist is at Methodist Hospital in Houston at Scurlock Towers and he's wonderful. Dr. Stephen Lapin. I would recommend him to anyone.
Trauma how are things going for you so far?
