If you go to http://www.ic-network.com/professionals then click on Texas on the map, you may find someone near you who has either been recommended by another IC patient or who has expressed an interest in caring for IC patients.

Thank you Donna. I have read that and I see there is a support group in San Antonio that meets twice a year. I was referred to an ic specialist by my URo here in Corpus Christi. She is in San Antonio along with the only physical therapist that does pfd. There are no ic specialists here in Corpus Christi. I have been to some very misinformed gynocologist and urologist in Corpus. I can't speak for all of the urologists or gyno. What I was really looking for was people suffering with IC around Corpus Christi. I just want to meet someone face to face that is dealing with this.

Re: Corpus Christi or surrounding area.

Kimmalee, I lived in Corpus Christi for eleven years. I've moved to the Beaumont area and the worst part is that I had to leave my dr there! The dr is Katherine Rassmussen and she is an OB/GYN who is WONDERFUL! I was her first patient with IC and she 'hurt' for me. She educated herself and eventually hired a nurse whose only job is taking care of IC patients. She was the best thing that has happened to me since IC symptoms began. I wish it were not a 6 hour drive to continue to see her and I may eventually do just that. Go see her! God bless!
