• Anyone live in Hawaii?????

Does anyone on here live in Hawaii? My boyfriend is in the army and got stationed in Hawaii.. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me about it and about the doctors. I would really like to know about the medical facilities before I go, I know that some places are better than other places at treating and understanding medical conditions any thing would help so if you girls could please post and tell me something it would really help out a lot! thanks lindsay

If you'd be on the island of Oahu, there are excellent medical facilities there. I didn't need medical care while we were there, but we did have an uncle who lived in Honolulu for many years and had some pretty major surgeries there.

Oh thank you so much Donna!! That is exactly were we will be going, I have heard wonderful things about the island, I was just scared of how they would treat me when I arrived there, and if they would totally understand what I have, I guess I will have to see when I get there if they know how to treat the IC...when I moved should I just have them transfer my medical records over there? and do you think they will look at the treatments I am getting know, and go by that to treat me there?

I think you'll find it not much different than moving to any other state in the US. I totally fell in love with Hawaii --- and wish I could live there for at least a few years.

Hi i moved to hawaii about 5 months ago.My husband is also in the army. the doctors seem pretty good so far. i actually have been doing better since i moved here i don't know if its the weather or not.Are you a EFMP, thats pretty important so they understand your condition and find you a doctor before you get here. Most likely you will have a doctor at Tripler they seem pretty informed and understanding about the condition.Well i hope everything works out ok.feel free to ask me any questions,[email protected] Bobbi
