We were all going to meet in Dallas once but nobody showed up! I was there and left after waiting over half an hour. Another person came later and that was it! I'd love for us to have a group though!

It would be great if we could find a Dr. in this Metroplex area that would do the support group thing. Even if it wasn't every month.

Alyson, That was me. I got lost trying to get to lthe Hotel and in Dallas when you get lost its takes 30 min. to find your way back. I am so sorry I didn't get to meet with you. I wish we could form a group again but it is so hard to get everyone together. Hugs

Redstonebef, you're right about getting lost! It takes forever to get turned back around! I wish we could get together. I'll talk to my doctor and ask for some suggestions!

That would be great if you could talk to your Dr.
My Dr. is good, but I have only seen him once and I know IC is not his specialty in his urology group but he has IC patients and knows enough about the condition that I am comfortable going to him. I think if we could find a Dr. who sees a lot of IC patients they may be more willing to help because they would know how much of a need there is for this kind of support.

I think it would be good if those of us that are close in the area could try and get together. We could support each other and maybe meet somewhere every 2-3 mos just to talk, vent and share and support. If ya'll are interested let me know.
I know there are at least 3 of us that don't work at the present...so feed back please.........

I for one am interested, I would also be interested if we could get a physcian on board for a support group also. I have seen some of the support groups that have had a physcian involved. I think that would be so beneficial. I am one who works a day or at the most usually two and am very flexible during the week. My weekends are usually full with stuff with my husband.

Hello everyone! I am new to this site. Glad to see this site exists. My mother is 71 years old and was diagnosed with ic about a year ago. Has tried the elmiron(expensive!!!)but was not working. She is currently on Macrobid. She has had severe stomach pain and nausea for a long time. Urologist refered her to gastrologist, but he can't diagnose her symptons. Do any of you experience these symptons. She is very depressed. on anti-depressants, unable to work due to the nausea and pain. She urinates about 17 to 20 times a day, more at night. She is at the point where she wants to give up and this scares me. Seems like all the Dr's want to do is give her pain medicine and antbiotic and send her home. She has been on all types of antibiotics for about three years now. I would appreciate any suggestions or if you can refer me to support group.
