Oh my, CrazyCat, I've seen you post several times before, I'm so glad you live here. I live five minutes from the U of U. My Dr. is Elizabeth Graul. I went to Jordan High School with her. We were close friends and my husband even dated her. She is wonderful. Where do you live and who is your Dr.? Do you have kids?
HI!! It is so great to talk to someone from around here! I see Lisa Stout. I live in West Valley, and work in Bountiful.... Somedays it is just a horrible commute. I had a daughter, but she has been gone a little over a yr.
I do have 3 cats and a dog. How long have you had this horrible disease? Do you have kids? Somebody in the chatroom had mentioned that you were in SLC, so I was looking for you. Good to talk!

I have 8 kids. We have a yours, mine and ours family and they all live with us. It's great because they are great kids. We live in those tiny old houses in the Avenues. It's a little crowded sometimes but we have alot of fun.
I'm sorry about your daughter. I don't know what happened but my heart goes out to you.
I have two dog. They are minature daschounds. They are those low to the ground dogs with attitude.
I can't imagine how terrible that commute would be for you. That's got to be 30-45 minutes on a good day without weather. If you ever need to use a potty, I'm here.
What do you do for work?
I'm not sure who Lisa Stout is. Is she a Uro? I'm glad to know there someone close by who gets this. My Dr. says there are quite a few of us ICers. I'm kind-of feeling cocky right now because I've had two good days after 6 bad months. I almost feel guitly about it. I just don't know what I'll do if I go back to the way I was feeling a month ago.
Take good care.

Hi Bubs...
I love those houses in the avenues.. Thats a lot of kids! I know those little dogs... my grandmother raises, shows and judges dauchsands. They are so fun! I have a Burnese Mnt dog... which is a large sweetheart of a dog. I also have a tabby, a siamese, and a burmese cat.
I do billing for work... the commute isn't that bad, yet, I've only been out here since April.. Can't wait for the winter. Thanks for the offer of the potty! somedays I really need it. .
Do you work or are you lucky enough to stay home with your kids?
Stout is a Uro.. She isn't that bad, I've had a few problems with her, but all in all okay.
She said somedays they do 10 or more bladder instillations, so I know there are more of us in Utah. How can we spread the word?
How long have you had IC? Don't you just hate it!!
Mine varies on with my cycle so some days its okay, other days, excruciating. I hope you are well. I had better go.. I will talk to you soon, I hope.

I'm so sorry it took so long to post. I've been feeling better lately and have had alot of catching up to do. Plus I have one kid in soccer, one in football, one in swimming, one running track at the U, and 3 in piano. It gets hecktic.
You know that a couple of weeks ago when I was in for a treatment I suggested that perhaps someone should start a sign-up sheet for a support group here in SL. The nurse practioner said she thought it was a great idea. She said they treat quite a few patients for IC. I will suggest it again. Do you have any ideas? I think it would be great to at least chat with some of these people. I sent you a post when I read that your Dr. wants to do a cysto. Hang in there.
Thanks. I don't know what to do about my dr. I am thinking of switching. I looked your dr up on my insurance, but she isn't covered ahhhh. have you ever heard of Dr. ********* Devries? She is the only other uro on my ins. I don't know what to do anymore, I don't want a cysto!
About the support group in SLC, I would love to be in one. I have been looking for one, but so far I have only found one in Orem. How can we get one started?? I can't do it alone though.... and you sound very busy with your little ones!
I belong to some online support groups. These help. It would be nice to talk to live people!
Hope you are well!

I've not heard of Devries. I'm sorry my doctor was not on your list. I just love her. She really gets IC. I'm curious about increasing the heparin. I'll ask her about it next week. Here's my e mail. Send me an e mail and I'll get back with you. Can I just say one thing though. Today I had another heparin and marcain instillation. When I went in I had a migraine so bad I didn't even notice how bad my crotch hurt. I was on my period too. Alot going on and WOW. Now I'm tired and still have the remains of a migraine. I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow but right now I'm hurting from the instillation. Sometimes it's all too much.
Take care

I got your e mail and sent you one. Your boss sounds so great. I hope you have a good weekend. I finally got rid of most of my headache but am still flaring. I hope it gets better this weekend. My husband is taking all of the kids but my two youngest daughter fishing so I think I will order out food for us and watch some great movies. We are going to take it easy. With less kids around it sure is a nice break and he knows I need one. He's the best! I sent you a pretty entertaining e mail for a laugh. I hope you're are feeling better too.
