Anyone know about this group? I am in the Quantico VA area.....I was going to make an appt with them.

Welcome to VA! I used to go to the Urology Group of Northern VA, but they are too far from you and even from me. I used to go to one of their offices when I worked near them. Not too familiar with urologists in Prince William Co. I'm in Fairfax Co, but really near the Prince William Co border.

i wound up seeing them...Dr. Beamon...he's nice and very knowledgeable..but...stand-offish...

This is a bit late, but at this clinic Dr. Dumont is/was my Uro. He's VERY nice, but since he exhausted everything he could think of for the issues I'm having, he urged me to go to UVA (as VCU has really long wait lists) to see a Uro there, as they keep up to date on all the most recent stuff. He really felt awful he couldn't figure out how to help me, but anyone who sees this should note that I DO NOT have IC, I have some weird thing no one can seem to really figure out. He knows how to treat IC patients.

Thank you. I've been going to UVA actually, I've gotten some medicine the doctor there suggested, and it dulls the issues a decent amount, but so far I have nothing that makes me feel "normal" and I also don't feel like the "dysfunctional voiding" tag I've been given is a true diagnosis.

Hi--I was diagnosed by Dr. Melissa Delgado in Vienna, VA who is a gynecologist. But I've also had bladder cancer and have a diagnosed immune deficiency. I need a cysto every three months, but Dr.Bernstein at Washington Urology didn't listen when I was telling him my symptoms for months, so I need to find a urologist. I see Dr. Dumont here in F'burg, and I guess I'm willing to drive south if he's good. My pelvis is a train wreck...

I also saw Dr. Bernstein at Washington Urology. He was not understanding and refused to diagnose me with IC. His nurse practitioner finally agreed to diagnose me and give me elmiron (she was super nice and understanding!). I now see Dr. Peterson, a ObGYN at Reiter Hill in DC. He is great -- knows about IC, willing to do instills, etc., but I would welcome uro or urogyn recommendations in the NoVa area that specialize in IC.

I just saw the same dr.a very quiet guy, not giving a lot of info. I was surprised that with my UTI like symptoms they never even took my temperature. I also was fully expecting a pelvic exam as well. His bio says he specializes in female issues. Cystoscopy scheduled hope it gives me answers and hope Dr. Beamon seems knowledgable enough to treat my issues. Was he able to help you?
