    What about Reglan (metoclopramide)?

I had the same issues with my insurance with zofran being so expensive. My IC doctor also prescribed Reglan (metoclopramide) for nausea, which has been very helpful for me. And it's pretty cheap. Have you tried it before?

Is Gravol the same as Dramamine? I haven't actually tried that in a long time. Does it still make you really sleepy? I'm willing to try just about anything!! So thank you, I'll read up on it and maybe give another try!

    Gravol?

They gave me Zofran once at the hospital ... only to find out I was EXTREMELY allergic to it ... couldn't breathe, couldn't talk, thought I was going to die right in front of my husband and 3 kids.

That is what they substituted for me and it's over the counter so it's only a few bucks at the drugstore.

    Hope it helps!

I know what it's like to have high drug costs and the stupid insurance companies don't want to pay!

started a topic I'm so down right now.

    I'm so down right now.

We changed insurance on Dec. 1st. Along with my IC I have a lot of other problems (like probably everyone else here). One of the worst is my gastritis. I did have it pretty well controlled by taking Zofran 8 mg 3x a day plus Aciphex 2x per day. Since the insurance change, they only want to pay for 24 per month instead of the 120 per month I was getting. I have tried SO many medicines to stop the vomiting. Nothing else has worked. My doc appealed once and was denied. He is in the process of appealing again because due to this I have lost between 10 and 15 lbs since the beginning of Dec. All of this is on top of the IC and all the stress that comes with that. I just feel like CRAP!
I have Phenergan which I take at night and during the day if it gets really bad. But I can't take that ALL the time. It makes me a zombie. Like I said, I've tried so many other drugs to help with this but they all either didn't work or had bad side effects.
The Zofran, even generic, cost $2500.00 per month for 120. I just can't afford that!! I guess what I'm asking is does anyone else have anything that works for them that's not so crazy expensive? Even if I've tried it before I'd be willing to try it again (except Compazine, bad for my IBS). Thanks so much. I'm so tired of feeling so bad.
