  • Just how much TP do you use?!

On one of my bathroom visits today I finished off another roll of TP. I caught myself automatically reaching under the cabinet & putting another one on & realized to myself...MY GOD, how many times a week do I do this?! I know it sounds trivial, but I seem to go thru about a ROLL a day. I have a 2 bath house & I use both of them equally. SO i would say I am currently a roll a day gal, using Angel Soft (which is really soft squishy TP, but doesnt seem to be ALOT to the roll).
So, ladies, just how much TP do you use??

          haha the verdict is in!

hahah.. I have not the slightest idea ... but I know its BAD! Considering, I feel compelled to buy toilet paper for anyone allowing me to constantly use the facilities, probably at least a toilet paper roll a day! (Cuz.. now.. we can't forget all the trips to public restrooms, and other people's houses) If they are single rolls, maybe even two or three a day. I even have two rolls of charmin TO GO with me at all times if that helps any. But I mean, my minimum is usually around 80 times a day.. so, oops. p.s. I don't discriminate with the T.P. haha... If I can pat with it... I am good to go! Nice question! That was fun

Remission for me means less pain for more days than not. Frequency is inevitable with a bladder this tiny! That is ok though. The difference between when I was diagnosed and now, is that I have embraced that fact. Me and the loo, we are one.

I use close to a roll a day of Charmin Big Roll Single Ply White. I knew I should have bought TP stock a long time ago.

haha... about the charmin to go... tigger_gal... haha... yeah its quite handy actually. In fact, it fits in virtually everything and it's WATERPROOF.. and even has a little dispenser option, so if it were pouring and you were outside in it... only the pieces you took out would get wet.. Im like a walking advertisement, my bad.

hubby complaining about this last night...

HA HA HA so funny that you posted this today. I was in the bathroom last night and reached for the roll and it was empty. I called my hubby to get me tp from the hall closet and he complained of this exact issue. I do go through a roll a day. Basically it is just me as he only uses the paper maybe once a day...... gross to share, but I'm just saying its basically just me using the paper in our house.

I buy the 36-roll bag at Costco (Kirkland brand) and keep six rolls on a shelf above the toilet tank. I absolutely refuse to even estimate how much I go through in a day.

We have too many people in our house to estimate this. I can tell you though that I buy the Charmin Mega rolls which are the same as 4 rolls in one and I get the 6 pack, the same as 24 rolls of regular tp and we usually can make that last 2 weeks or just under 2 weeks. That's a lot of toliet paper. Between work and home though I would guess I use at least 1 roll a day if not a little more.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

I am with Donna, I'd rather not know! But this question brings to mind a funny conversation I had with my MIL several years ago:

Me: You know, I'm worried that Susannah (our daughter) is not drinking enough water; she only goes to the bathroom between three and five times each day.

MIL: Um, well, why are you worried?

At that time I had not been diagnosed with IC, and I truly didn't realize that I was the abnormal one, not Susannah! LOL, poor baby, she must have been driven crazy by my constantly asking if she needed to use the potty!
Je vous souhaite de la joie, de la bonne santée, et tout ce qu'il y a de bon dans la vie.
Wishing you happiness and good health, and all the best out of life.

                            Peace, Carolyn

I'm with Donna, I'm not even going to guess how much I use. One thing its hard for me to judge as I work so I really don't know. I do know that I use much more than the guys in the house (and there are 3 of them to only 1 of me!!)
