Tracy ~ 29 years old with Toxoplasmosis (from birth), Fibro/CFS (since age 13...ouch), severe IC, IBS-D, severe PFD (surgery made it even worse), vulvodynia, hiatal hernia, GERD, ulcers, severe gastritis, numbness/tingling in extremeties, pelvic nerve damage--mainly urethral, urinary retention, pelvic reconstruction 7.10.07 (fixed rectocele, rectal prolapse, lifted bladder, urethra, uterus, and repaired vaginal walls), Raynaud's, 2 severely herniated discs in neck and one in low back, anemia, PCOS, anxiety/depression/panic attacks (since forever). Still having major bowel problems (inability to empty rectum...any ideas?? ).

I'd like to be on House, MD as a medical mystery.

I take: LIQUID Atarax, Flomax, Soma (yet again), acidophilus, Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM & collagen, d-mannose. MAJOR flare from Cystoprotek! Re-trying freeze dried aloe vera w/some decent results!

Tried and failed: Elavil, Ultram, Prosed DS, Benadryl, Bentyl, Valium, Ativan, Zanaflex, Librax, Sanctura (all caused retention among other things), bladder instills (owwwwww!), Elmiron (allergic-throat tightening). Failed Interstim-no feeling in sacral nerves...

I'm allergic to penicillan, sulfa, reglan, quinolones, clindamycin, and now LATEX!

i miss the days where i went to the bathroom maybe 4 times a day. we can't afford my tp habit much longer. worse than smoking (cost wise)!

That's funny. It didn't occur to me I was using more TP than the average bear. I work in a 3-person office (2 men and me). My boss asked me the other day if I was using TP to wallpaper my home because we seemed to be going through a lot.

I can't really say Tracy how much I go through. I have 6 people in my house who use the bathroom. If we're lucky we can make a 6 pack of mega rolls from charmin last two weeks. Each one of those is equal to 4 regular rolls. So we're basically going through 12 rolls of regular toliet paper a week and that's with me being at work 8 1/2 hours a day 5 days a week, lol, if not we'd probably go through a lot more.
          Christine

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

I use Cottonelle w/ Ripples, Double roll, and I'm not sure how many sheets there are. Either way, I use about a roll or two per day. So I use the equivalent of 14 single rolls in a week. And that's when I'm not flaring.

            Wow...that's a lot. I just noticed that.

            Medical "Issues":
            IC
            GERD
            Tachycardia(resting rate is 125-130 )
            Medicastions:
            Tramadol-as needed (IC)-50mg
            Elmiron 200mg twice a day
            Levsin .125mg 1-2 pills 4 times a day

I really can't say, I do have my own bathroom--but since I work full time (so I'm gone an average of 12 hours aday). At work we have 4 stalls so who knows how many women uses each - as I know I'm not the only one who uses the same stall over and over). I guess one day when I am home on Saturday I will have to monitor my TP usage. (not this weekend though as I will be in and out for the most part); but I do know that I use more than my Husband and 2 son's.

What a good subject for a thread - it really bothers me that I get through at least 12 rolls a week, & that's the expensive good quality stuff because the cheap tp irritates. The water bill's astronomical too!
