Many of you know I work three nights a week, I am a dietitian and see patients and do weight loss classes anywhere from 3-8:30 pm. I LOVE it except for the hours....
Anyway, our life in the spring revolves around baseball and softball....jr high and HS age...son is on TWO teams...very busy...and my oldest is still at college and can't help with the driving...
...I had to quit a couple of nights....
I knew my boss did NOT want to go into the work of having to replace me, so I brought in a very sketchy plan working whenever I could do it....my schedule seriously looks like a patchwork quilt, and I talked to my friend who had left our office, also a dietitian, and God bless her, she is totally willing to take my Monday nights....so I had the plan in place before I approached my boss....
My boss was very glad I had a plan at least to offer her, and she is very willing to deal with this through June. Thank God. She also has been very supportive with my bladder problems and when my dad was dying...I know this isn't always true in offices, but in my case it has worked. there ARE p[eople out there who value your work and will work with you, "disability" or not! Hope all is well with all of you! Hugs Julie
