  • 5th disease virus?

Anyone heard of this? My Niece had this sometime last week and now my nephew seems to have it-- apparently it is going around. What exactly is it? It appeared on their faces at first and then on their arms. The little boy is in pre-school.

My daughter recently had it. At the worst the person might feel fluish, then the rash comes out. Usually the rash doesn't hurt or itch at all. Seems like Megan's rash was mostly on her face and upper body around her neck, shoulders. Just another childhood illness. They call the rash the "slapped face" look. My daughter did look like someone slapped the you know what outta her.

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Thanks, that is what my niece looks like -- like someone slap the *** out of her! My nephew is now just showing symptoms. Like I said earlier, we didn't know what it was, so we looked it up when someone mentioned this.

It's another of those childhood diseases that spread like wildfire among children, but isn't serious enough to be too worried about.
