Anyone heard of this? My Niece had this sometime last week and now my nephew seems to have it-- apparently it is going around. What exactly is it? It appeared on their faces at first and then on their arms. The little boy is in pre-school.

Yes i have heard of this it is quiet common in kids it is a virus that makes thier cheeks really red and it will also make them break out with small bumps..Some complain of itching.. Dont be to worried though it is a very treatable virus...

Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..
Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.
Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.

My daughter recently had it. At the worst the person might feel fluish, then the rash comes out. Usually the rash doesn't hurt or itch at all. Seems like Megan's rash was mostly on her face and upper body around her neck, shoulders. Just another childhood illness. They call the rash the "slapped face" look. 04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. Thanks, that is what my niece looks like -- like someone slap the *** out of her! My nephew is now just showing symptoms. Like I said earlier, we didn't know what it was, so we looked it up when someone mentioned this.Comment

It's another of those childhood diseases that spread like wildfire among children, but isn't serious enough to be too worried about.
