frustrated and I dont know what to do

I watched my co-worker's dog last weekend... not b/c I wanted to but b/c she had nobody else to watch him and she told she would pay me. Well it's tuesday and I still havent gotten paid. She left a check for $65 for the little boy down the block who walked the dog 3 times while I was at work. and I havent gotten diddly squat!!! I cant ask her to pay me b/c that is just plain rude.... I am at a loss of what to do. Any ideas?? Yesterday I was trying all day to tell her how annoying her dog was to remind her that she ows me money. Well that didn't work. I'm hoping she is waiting till we get paid on friday. Today she was shopping online for stuid expensive things but she still owes me!!! That was a slap in the face. Arggg what do I do??

65 $ sounds like too much to the boy down the street. Are you sure all of that money was for him? I would confront, too. I might say, "I gave the money to the boy down the street, but where's mine?" Then laugh a little, but not too much and see what she/he says. Course this fits my strange personality ....I hope you figure it out!

I do this to myself all the time. I make myself feel guilty about asking for what I only deserve. The same way I hate calling out of work... b/c I feel bad. I'm messed up in my head I know
I just feel bad asking b/c I know she's tight on money... she's been having problems lately. She's divorced and has a 13 year old son... and she likes to live like she has money when she doesnt. She's in ALOT of debt and I feel guilty asking... I only watched her dog b/c I knew she would pay me alot. Last time I babysat her son one night I watched him for like 2 hours and she gave me $100 bucks!!! WHAT?? So I thought hmmm... if she paid me that much to watch her son hell... what would she pay me for watching her dog for 4 days of cleanin up poop and not going out and being miserable for 4 freeking days. And now look what I get... NOTHING.

I'm beginning to believe that the check was for her cleaning lady. But hell I dont know. I think she's just waiting till we get paid. Should I not say anything till Friday?? Or ask her now??

I lost it on my lunch b/c I have to deal with suck bull**** lately between work and Ic it's to much to handle. My bf calmed me down and said not to let everything bother me. But sometimes it just overwhelms you ya know?? Hearing his voice calms me down for some reason. I'm bettter now but wow do I need a vacation!!!!

At least I have off tomorrow. :woohoo: lol

ooooww... I hate that. She needs to pay you. I used to baby-sit and then the older son would come home before the parents and let me off and I'd never get paid. I was only 14 or so at the time and didn't have any guts to ask for what I deserved.
It I were you, I'd probably wait for Friday. Not that it's required, I just am sort of like you about asking. I wouldn't want to offend her or anything. I wouldn't dog sit for her again. That's for sure.

she really should have paid you since she said she would. If she dose not offer you something on payday, don't say anything to her. However the next time she needs a dog sitter or kid sitter, tell her you would like to help her out, but you have other plans. She will get the hint.

I go through this often. I know all about this one. People owe me money and they just expect me to forget about it. Most of the time, I never forget, but am too scared to ask. It will only make things worse for the both of you. So just, exactly, find a humorous way to crack it to her, that she should pay up. "Like, ah, saw you shopping for expensive stuff today, really, you don't have to get me a present, just pay me." eh. Im not good with this stuff.. but do both of you a favor, and confront her about it. Elsewise, things will only get worse for you. all of the best.... and then some money too!!

That would make me very upset if someone said they would pay me but then did 'nt. I am like the other's however I would wait until Friday and see if she offers you anything, but if she does'nt i would not be in watch her Dog or Child again. that would tell her how upset you were with her promise. At least she could say is I will pay you when I get my next paycheck if that is ok, so you would know! Sorry that you have to deal with so much try to stay calm though the storm and it will blown over and be alright!

She paid me $100. I dont want to sound ungrateful but for the crap I had to deal with (literally haha) and whinning from that doggie was soooo not worth $100. The sunglasses are cheap too. Oh well. At least I got money huh?? NEVER AGAIN though!

Glad she paid you. But $65 to the kid for walking the dog 3 times while you were at work? boy, I want that kind of work!! She should of paid you when she paid the boy, or before she even went shopping on line! Next time, I wouldn't even bother with it.
