wow, you got snow.... Everyone in NJ got flooding!!! It's crazy everyone here at work called out b/c their basements are flooded. My basement is ok. Last night my bf and I were at a friends house watching the sopranos, just as it was finishing all of a sudden there was water everywhere. It was coming up from underground. It was crazy!!!! It's still raining here and I hope it stops soon.
I heard for every inch of rain would be equivelent to 5 inches of snow... We had about 6 inches of rain last night... gosh couldnt imagine what it would be like if it snowed here. Looks like Kara29 got all the snow... We got nasty rain.
Yucky!!!!***Rachel***

It looks like it's going to be a nice day in Oregon. I do remember the snows we used to get late in the season in Nebraska.

We are going to have a nice and warm day, somewhere in the 70's.
Last Friday night, though we had a nice thunderstorm (if you want to call it NICE!!) HIGH WINDS in the 70's and rain, power outages everwhere. luckily it didn't go out where I live at. On Saturday though, it was cold and windy all day. We are having one crazy spring.Comment

I get to leave work at 3 due to seve flooding... everyone's basement are flooded up to your ankles!! It's getting bad here. In westchester, ny people are using floating rafts to get around. It's in the newspaper. The picture is kinda funny. It's an old couple sitting in the raft while a police man is pulling them through the water. The old couple look so happy its funny. It stinks for people's houses though. Wishing you all luck in this bad weather!***Rachel***

I know that this week when it rain on Friday night, my son was called from home and asked to come to Church and help with the cleaning up because it got flooded. A few weeks ago, some elderly couple go trapped because they were trying to drive in the high water zone (they knew it was bad- but they just had to go across it) she was rescued but he couldn't be saved and he drown.- I think he was 85 or so- it was sad- especially the way the rescuers went about it- they only had 1 belt -or whatever you call it and yet they knew it was 2 people out there).Comment

Keep warm, Kara! My parents are in Massachusetts and are likely having nasty weather as well.
We had horrible weather yesterday -- we were under a tornado watch all day, and we did have a few nasty thunderstorms, but no tornadoes near us. However, we got a TON of rain, and the wind really picked up. We have had sustained winds of 25-35 mph since last night, with gusts up to 60mph!! At home, we had no cable -- which meant no TV and no Internet -- last night and this morning.
I heard some branches fall outside last night, and small things pelted the roof all night -- we are in the woods, so today I am very worried that a tree will uproot and hit the house while we're at work.... ugh....
Anyway, the cable had better be back by tomorrow night for House!!! And we better not lose power. I hate that...****

You were lucky, Rachel, we had the sewage drains back up into our basement... I'll spare you all the details, we're all suffering enough without having to read a description of what raw sewage on carpet looks like... LOL ... it was really nasty and my husband did all the cleanup. Sometimes I really like that guy...Je vous souhaite de la joie, de la bonne santée, et tout ce qu'il y a de bon dans la vie.
Wishing you happiness and good health, and all the best out of life.
Peace, Carolyn
