  • can't sleep

I am so tired and cannot sleep. I ran out of my Ambien, and Flexeril last Tuesday my pharmacy faxed the doctor, and I emailed the office. I am in a lot of fibro pain, which is keeping me awake. I called them today, and the pharmacy re faxed the info for my scripts. They said that they never got none of the 3 faxes from the pharmacy of the email.. Well I am sure that they did.. she told me that she would speak to the doctor and call me back.. Like I knew that was so not happening.. it just makes me so damn mad.. They say that you will have them filled with in 48 hours or a phone call if you need to come in... I am pretty mad, they have exceeded their 48 hour time limit a couple times over..

How annoying, they obviously dong understand how you feel...or dont care.

I have had the same problem here too and when I call up to complain they have the cheek so sound annoyed with me on the phone!!! Makes me so angry.

Make sure you call them again and give them a deadline to call you back...say lunch time!!!

I know how horrible you must feel now as I suffer with ME which has similar symptoms and without my meds I cant sleep either.

let me know how you get on

If your doctor's office is part of a larger medical facility, like a clinic or hospital, check to see if there is a patient advocate at the facility. If so that person's job is to help patients when they don't receive the care they are supposed to, such as refills in a timely manner.

((((((((((((Cindy))))))))))))))) I hope you start to feel better soon. I seem to have a head cold and aching all over so I can totally relate.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

I do have to get up at 5:45 to be at the hospital by 6:45. My stim trial surgery is at 8:45 am.
