My mother, and friend who is 72 and I (the young one) went to see Lucky You tonight and my friend Trudy was complaining of pain in her chest and back and has a history of heart troubles. When my mom went to get the car for us, I suggested we go to the ER, only about 2 miles from movie theater, she said ok, well her blood pressure was 197/123, my mom and were so scared, Trudy lives alone and I am so thankful she was with us and we insisted she go, i am afraid if she would have been at home, she may not have made it, they took her right back and the doctor came in and immediately said he would be admitting her, they were working on getting her blood pressure down when we left, she was still in good spirits, no we didn't leave her alone, we called her daughter, which she didn't want us to do, but we did, or we would have stayed with her. I am just praying she does ok, I have known her for about 25 years, she worked with my mom and lives in her neighborhood. Of course, with all the excitement, I am flaring from the tension and stress...Just took a long bath and hopefully things will calm down.

It was so kind or you and I am sure your friend feels blessed you were there for her. Yes, hospital stays can really flare one! I know from my grandfather and friends being in the hospital. Good to hear you are taking care of yourself, but please know it was an extremely kind thing for you to do!

You used very good judgement in taking your friend to ER. It's always a good idea when there's chest pain. I hope she does well and can go back home soon.

Well Trudy had an angiogram(sp?) today and it showed no blockage, but the dr. did say she had a mild heart attack, I am so thankful she listened to me and went willing, she is still in hospital and resting comfortably. Her blood pressure is still very high so they are keeping her there. Thank you all for the kind words, I didn't even think of myself and the pain I was in from sitting in the movie, sometimes taking care of someone else makes us forget our own worries.Comment
